100Unicorns and Venture Catalysts, in collaboration with their group company Incubate Hub, successfully organized their inaugural Corporate Day (C-Day) event. This sector-focused quarterly event centered around showcasing innovative solutions from portfolio startups in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG)/retail sector. Dr. Apoorva Ranjan Sharma, Co-founder and Managing Director of Venture Catalysts, inaugurated the event, which included the soft launch of the Theme Based Accelerator (TBA) program by Anuj Golecha, Co-founder of Venture Catalysts.

The theme of the event revolved around tech-based solutions in the CPG/retail sector, with Sameer Dhingra, Director - Retail and Consumer at Google Cloud, delivering the keynote address on the CPG and retail ecosystem in India. The event gained praise for its ability to bring together leaders from large corporations and a mix of startups, demonstrating how technology can drive innovation in retail.

C-Day, strategically organized by Pradeep V (Co-Founder, Incubate Hub) and Shivika Sethi (Strategy Lead at 100Unicorns/Venture Catalysts), witnessed participation from over 70+ corporates, with 35+ marquee corporate representatives, including CXOs, Heads of Innovation, and Directors of Procurement from Fortune 500 companies and large Indian conglomerates such as P&G, AB Inbev, Target, Aditya Birla Group, Britannia, Nivea, Marico, GSK Consumer, CocaCola, Pepsi, Shell, Loreal, Lowes, CavinKare, KMart, Kimberly Clark, Walmart, and others spanning across India, Singapore, Australia, and Dubai.

9 startups with innovative offerings across the CPG/retail value chain were showcased at the event, including Frontier Markets, WebEngage, Eunimart, Saara.io, Hesa, Easyrewardz, Orbo.ai, QZENSE LABS, and Zypp. The event received positive feedback from both corporates and startups. Google expressed interest in collaborating with three of the startups presented, while many corporates showed interest in deep-dive calls and offering Proof of Concepts (POCs) to selected startups.

With a dedicated corpus of Rs 15-20 crore, this program aims to support startups with business development, mentorship, and funding, focusing on industry-specific themes such as CPG, retail, consumer durables, D2C, e-commerce, BFSI, automotive, manufacturing, and sustainability, tailored to corporate use cases and requirements.

In addition, 100Unicorns and Venture Catalysts launched 'WeNetwork,' a digital acceleration initiative designed to connect portfolio companies with mentors, corporate CXOs, unicorn founders, PR, hiring resources, and offer tech and development support. WeNetwork, within its first month of launch, has already attracted over 300 users, experiencing robust growth in active users and daily registrations across various domains.
